Assign License


Depending on the functionality you want the user to have, make sure you have a license available or add one our Storefront portal. (Add license in Storefront)
Either in Storefront or https://admin.microsoft.com/Adminportal/Home?source=applauncher#/users. Add a user, then assign the license. 

Configure User Permissions

Navigate to https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/environments, and choose your Environment. The Type should be Production: 

Click the environment to Open it. 

Under Access > Users select See all 

 

Use the search or scroll to find your user. Left click their row, then select Manage security roles from the navigation bar.

Note: If you do not see your user, it can take 24 hours for it to appear. Should you need immediate support to assign the user, open a ticket in https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/support to have support sync your user for you. 

Update March 2023 - Admin can now add users one at a time from the + Add user Button: 

 

In the context right flyout that opens, select Manage roles

Depending on the license, assign the appropriate roles. You can look at other users that have been set up for you for guidance. Full user example for Sales Professional or Enterprise would be as follows:

When finished with the permissions. Select Save. 



Configure Mailbox Integration with Exchange Online

While still in the User flyout, select Manage user in Dynamics 365 (eventually this will change)




Select the elipses (...) on the main navigation bar and select Open Mailbox


A pop-up window should appear. If it does not, make sure you have pop ups enabled for the site. 

Step1: Check that all Sync settings are as follows: 

Step 2: Select Approve Email
Step 3: Select Test & Enable Mailbox

Once complete the test results should show as follows: 



Configure Dynamics 365 App for Outlook
 

If your organization is already set up, to default to the Outlook Dynamics 365 Set up you can disregard this step or verify it is already set up. 

From you admin center page for your power apps environment, select Settings


Under Resources, select Dynamics 365 App for Outlook: 


A new page should open. To skip this step in the future, ensure this check box is selected and click Save



To manually Add or Resync their app connection. Select the user and click Add App to Outlook:
