Set Personal Options - Email 

 
Dynamics 365 allows for personal settings for email tracking. 
 
To manage these, select the Settings icon on the menu bar. 
 
 
From the dropdown, choose Personalization Settings: 
 
 
 
Within the Options, select Email. 
 
 
We recommend users to only "Track Email messages in response to Dynamics email". This means only emails created in CRM, such as a timeline email from a Case or Opportunity, will be tracked automatically. 
 
Other options: 
 
  • Allow other Microsoft Dynamics 365 users to send email on your behalf
    • This allows for other users to change the "From" in an email to your email address. Feature is rarely used except in cases where a delegated mailbox is being used.
  • Show emails as conversation on Timeline 
    • Visualizes emails as a tree in the timeline, cascading all subsequent replies below the initial email tracked in Dynamics 365.
